Thailand’s government said on Friday that it had discovered one new case of coronavirus in the last 24 hours.
The new discoveries bring the total number of cases up to 3,390.
The new case is a Thai returnee from Singapore.
There were no new fatalities leaving the death toll at 58.
One new patient has recovered from the virus with the total number of discharged patients now at 3,219.
Currently, 113 people remain in the hospital
Global Situation
There are now more than 22.7 million confirmed coronavirus cases globally. On Friday, it was reported that 278,153 cases were found within the past 24 hours.
More than 15.5 million people (67.9 per cent) have recovered from the infection and more than 797,009 patients (3.5 per cent) have died from the disease.
Currently, there are 61,836 patients being treated as severe cases.
More than half of the global confirmed cases were found in three countries.
There were approximately 5.7 million confirmed cases in the U.S. alone, followed by 3.5 million in Brazil and 2.9 million in India.India reported 68,507 new cases and 981 deaths on Thursday, followed by Brazil (44,684 / 1,234) and the US (45,341 / 1,087).
