THAI Smile Extends Period Of Ticket/route Changes

06 Mar, 2020

THAI Smile Airways is assisting its passengers affected by travel restrictions due to the Covid-19 outbreak by extending the period of free itinerary changes.

As Covid-19 continues to spread, THAI Smile realises the inconvenience to passengers, CEO Charita Leelayudth said today (March 6). “We are therefore assisting passengers with THAI Smile air tickets by extending the period of free changes in tickets and/or routes.”

The routes are: return flights for Chongqing, Changsha, Zhengzhou, Hong Kong and Kaohsiung, with tickets issued before February 18, 2020, and/or for the travel period of February 18 to April 30, 2020. Passengers can also extend the travel period until December 15, 2020, without paying any fee. Any change to the travel itinerary must be made before the travel date on the ticket, the airline said.

In light of the coronavirus situation, THAI Smile said it had cancelled inbound and outbound flights to China on all three return routes including Chongqing, Changsha, and Zhengzhou from now until May 31, 2020. Passengers of the cancelled flights are entitled to full refunds without fees. “Passengers who still wish to travel during such a period will be transferred to flights operated by our partner airlines,” the company said.

Passengers can change their tickets at any Smile Service Centre or Smile travel agent. For more information, passengers are asked to contact the 24-hour call center via 1181 or 02-118-8888 or send inquiries to customer.service@thaismileair.com.
