05 May, 2020

PHUKET: Two more Covid-19 infected patients have recovered and been discharged as the island province reported no new infections for three consecutive days, with the total remaining at 220.

From Jan 5 to May 4, a total of 220 people had been diagnosed with the coronavirus disease, the provincial emergency response panel reported on Tuesday.

The number of people recovering from the disease stood at 179 after two more infected patients were treated and allowed to return homes. One had died from injuries received in a motorcycle accident. There were two deaths from the Covid-19 disease.

Now, 38 patients are still under treatment, one of them critical, the panel said.

Phuket authorities have set midnight as the deadline to collect its daily Covid-19 data so the numbers may or may not be included in the central database of the Centre for Covid-19 Situation Administration in time for its daily national briefing in the morning.
