Local Hospitals Open Registration For Pfizer Vaccination Among 12-18 Year-olds And At-risk Groups

Provincial hospitals throughout Thailand have opened up registration for Pfizer vaccines to at-risk groups and adolescents.

This including children aged between 12-18 years old, those who are 12 weeks pregnant or more, those who are aged 60 years and older, and those whose house registrations are in the districts of the hospitals.

The vaccines have been made available after Thailand received an additional 700,000 doses of the Pfizer vaccine from the US.

The high-risk groups with chronic diseases are: chronic respiratory diseases including asthma with moderate to severe symptoms, cardiovascular disease or cerebrovascular disease, chronic kidney disease, down syndrome or children with severe neurological impairment, cancer, immunodeficiency, diabetes, and obesity.

Those with obesity must have a mass index of over 35kg:

70kg and over for 12-13 year olds

80kg and over for 13-15-year-olds

90kg and over for 15-18-year-olds

100kg and over for 18-year-olds

Those with chronic diseases must also show evidence of treatment.

The hospitals confirmed are as follows:

Klong Khuen Hospital

Chachoengsao, Thailand

Khlong Khuean Hospital, located in Amphoe Khlong Khuean of Chachoengsao province, Thailand, will begin taking registration from August 18, 2021, with a limit of 252 people.

Queue cards will be distributed on the day from 7:00am onwards and registrations will be open from 8:00am – 2:00pm. 

Those who wish to get vaccinated must bring their ID cards along with their medical certificate and/or medicine associated with their condition, attached with their patient name on it, to confirm their eligibility. Certificates from non-medical personnel cannot be used to verify eligibility.

Those who are underage should also be accompanied by a legal guardian to sign the consent form to receive the vaccines.

The inoculation, however, is not open to those who do not have a house registration in Khlong Khuean District.

Ban Bueng Hospital

Chonburi, Thailand

Ban Bueng Hospital located in the Bang Buen District, Chonburi province has opened a service for vaccination against COVID-19 (Pfizer first dose) for patients in the target groups with house registration in Ban Bueng District only.

The registrations are from August 13 – August 16, 2021.

Samut Prakan Hospital 

Samut Prakan, Thailand

Samut Prakan Hospital, located in Tambon Pak Nam, Mueang Samut Prakan District in Samut Prakan province for those in the target group who live in Samut Prakan only, as according to the address on their ID card.

You can start picking up queue cards at Lotus Sai Luad on August 15 from 7:00 am onwards. Vaccinations will begin at the Samut Prakan Hospital from 8:00 am onwards.

Bangplee Hospital

Samut Prakan, Thailand

Bangplee Hospital, a public hospital located in Bang Phli Yai, Bang Phli District, Samut Prakan has also announced Pfizer vaccine walk-ins for those in the target groups who have never been vaccinated, and for those whose house is registered in the province only. 

People must bring along their ID cards, patient identification documents, and warfarin (if any).

The hospital is open for a limited walk-in vaccination service (excluding those who are accompanying them) on:

August 14, 2021 for a limit of 1,300 people.

August 15, 2021 for a limit of 1,300 people.

From 7:00am to 3:00pm, or until the specified number above is reached. You do not need to pre-register for the vaccines.

Phanat Nikhom Hospital

Chonburi, Thailand

The Phanat Nikhom Hospital, located in Thanon Sukprayun, Kut Ngong, Phana Nikhon District in Chonburi is opening Pfizer vaccination registration for the target group, starting on August 14, 2021 at the Chaloem Phrakiat Auditorium, Phanat Nikhom municipality.

  • Adolescents aged between 12-18 years old with chronic diseases and residing in the district can walk-in from 8:00am – 11:00am. They also must provide an ID card and proof of medical treatment. 
  • The other at-risk, target groups as listed above (by the Ministry of Public Health)
  • Those who registered to reserve vaccines in “Mor Phrom” app. They must also be residents of the Phanat Nikhom district and fall within the at-risk target group as listed above.  Only for Phanat Nikhom people and must be in 3 risk groups.
