Phi Phi Island Village Beach Resort is inviting Thai residents to swap Christmas trees for coconut palms this year in Krabi.

The resort is offering a special two-night staycation for couples and families this festive season.

The "Christmas Package" features roundtrip transfers between the resort and Phuket or Krabi, plus daily breakfast at the resort's ocean-facing restaurant.

Rates for the two-night package range from Bt9,900 for a Superior Bungalow to Bt13,900 for a Deluxe Sea View Bungalow.

The Christmas Package is available until December 25.
