“Over the Weekend” River Kwai Jungle Rafts Hotel, Kanchanaburi

I have good glimpse to visit again the real beauty of Kanchaniburi Province. Good way to jump off the hustle and bustle of Bangkok city to unwind. This is my 2nd time here and my  1st visit was way back 2011. For the past 8 years, there are many improvements along way. Prior to our arrival, We visited one of the famous attraction open 2 years back the Mallika - “City of culture and lifestyle”. Mallika is the retro-city reflecting the past Siamese lifestyle in the Chao Phraya River Basin. it is encourage to wear Thai Traditional Dress to visit this place and opens daily from 9:00 to 20.00 hrs.

Heading to our hotel accommodation is not accessible to any road therefore we booked  private long tail boat at least a maximum of 10-15 person start from Phutakien Pier to Jungle Rafts Hotel. Along the way you will pass their sister hotel like River Kwai Resotel, The Floating House River Kwai which under the same management of Serenata Hotel and Resorts Group. Then finally to our destination River Kwai Jungle Rafts a very stunning floating house. This hotel design floating in the river & without electricity so we merely enjoy the pure touch of nature. We did enjoy jumping in the river just right infront of our room. Aside from water activity, we also have the chance to watch the Mon Dance Show in the evening. Perform by the people from Mon Tribal Village. The Mon are an ethnic group originally from Mongolia, living mostly in the middle of Myanmar, and along the southern border with Thailand – source from Serenata Group. Don’t miss to visit the village (walking distance from the river) where you will witness the locals and how they work for living.

Staying for 2 days & 1 night is a perfect refreshment either with your family, friends, or loved ones
