Sandbox now OPEN to EVERYONE

Fully vaccinated travellers from “any country in the world” can now book holidays in Phuket and other provinces taking part in the sandbox scheme, the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) says. The change will allow previously excluded Indonesians and Malaysians, among many others, to travel to the southern resort island and some of its neighbors.

Now only 7-day Quarantine

The quarantine time for fully vaccinated international travellers arriving in Thailand, including pilot reopening destinations through the Alternative Quarantine (AQ) system, will be reduced from 14 to 7 days, starting from Friday (1 October, 2021).

STV extended for one more year

A one-year extension of the ‘special tourist visa’ (STV) scheme for long-staying visitors until 30 September, 2022. The programme has been in effect from 30 September, last year, and was originally due to end 30th September 2021.
