Thailand’s Caseload Hits 30 Deaths, 3,129 New Infections Over 24 Hours

Thailand logged 30 deaths and 3,129 new Covid-19 cases, including 457 inmates and 23 returnees, on Thursday.

 

Bangkok again leads the list with 1,032 infections, followed by 390 in Samut Prakan, 171 in Samut Sakhon, 130 in Nakhon Pathom and 105 in Nonthaburi.

Meanwhile, 4,651 patients have recovered and been discharged in the last 24 hours.

As of Thursday, the number of confirmed cases in Thailand had risen to 207,724. So far, 172,316 have recovered and been discharged, 33,853 patients are still in hospitals and 1,555 have died.

Separately, 166,528 people were given their first Covid-19 shot in the last 24 hours, while 56,439 people were given their second shot, bringing the total number of Covid-19 vaccine doses administered in Thailand to 7,003,783.

According to Worldometer, as of 10am on Thursday, the number of confirmed cases globally had risen to 177.77 million (up by 396,623), 162.27 million of whom have recovered, 11.66 million are active cases (83,081 in severe condition) and 3.84 million have died (up by 9,441).

Thailand ranks 78th on the global list of most cases, which is topped by the US with 34.36 million, followed by India 29.69 million, Brazil 17.62 million, France 5.74 million and Turkey 5.34 million.
