Thailand Recorded 9,727 Covid-19 Cases And 73 Deaths On Thursday.

Ministry of Public Health reported on Thursday (October 21) morning that in the past 24 hours there are 9,727 new patients who tested positive for Covid-19, 71 of whom have been found in prisons.

 

Death toll increased by 73, while 10,075 patients were cured and allowed to leave hospitals.

The country’s total caseload from Covid-19 stands at 1,821,579 – 1,699,934 of whom have recovered, 103,086 are still in hospitals and 18,559 have died.

Separately, another 428,656 people were given their first Covid-19 shot in the last 24 hours, 446,015 their second shot and 41,285 a booster, bringing the total number of Covid-19 vaccine doses administered nationwide to 68,503,058.

According to Worldometer, confirmed cases globally had risen to 242.81 million on Thursday, 220.1 million of whom have recovered, 17.77 million are active cases (77,097 in severe condition) and 4.94 million have died (up by 7,472).

Thailand ranks 24th in the global list of most cases, which is topped by the US with 46.09 million, followed by India with 34.13 million, Brazil with 21.68 million, the UK with 8.59 million and Russia with 8.09 million.
