New Entry Rules - TEST & GO Program

Here is a brief summary of the new entry rules for the nationals of 63 countries and territories as announced by the government of Thailand, called TEST & GO.

 

 

 

 

Fully vaccinated nationals of the 63 countries and territories only (please see the list below) can enter Thailand with only a very short quarantine requirement (8 – 12 hours).

Only vaccines approved by the WHO.

Required documents:

-passport

-vaccination certificate

-insurance covering at least 50 000 USD

-hotel reservation for at least one night under TEST & GO program (SHA Plus certified hotel) which must include: airport transfer; RT-PCR test; ATK test kit; 1 night accommodation.

-RT-PCR test no more than 72 hours before departure

Apply for entry permission via Thailand Pass (https://tp.consular.go.th/) at least 7 days before departure. It takes 1 to 5 business days to process the data. If all documents are in order Thailand Pass will generate a QR code certifying that the tourist can enter Thailand.

Documents and information required by Thailand Pass:

  1. Personal data (full name, date of birth, passport number)
  2. Passport copy (personal data page only; jpg; jpeg, png files only)
  3. First time in Thailand?
  4. Email address
  5. Occupation
  6. Date of the 1st and 2nd dose. Copy of the certificate (jpg; jpeg; png files only – no pdf)
  7. Hotel address, duration of stay, copy of booking confirmation (jpg, jpeg, png files)
  8. Flight number; date of arrival, duration of stay
  9. Overseas address
  10. Overseas mobile phone number
  11. Emergency contact detail
  12. Insurance policy number and copy (jpg, jpeg, png)
  13. Other visited countries within 14 days before arrival

Children under 12 years of age, traveling with parents or guardians, are exempt from the vaccination requirement, but they need to undergo all the required tests and they need to submit all the required documents via Thailand Pass.

The guests need to have RT-PCR test no more than 72 hours before departure.

 

Procedures after landing in Thailand:

  1. Install Mor Chana tracking application.
  2. Transfer by a van to a testing facility for RT-PCR test.
  3. Transfer to the hotel; check in. The guests need to stay in the room until their test results arrive, which normally takes 8 – 12 hours. The result will be sent via Mor Chana application.
  4. If the test result is negative the guests are free to travel anywhere in Thailand.
  5. On Day 6 the guests need to self-test using their ATK test kit. The result photo needs to be uploaded to Mor Chana application.
