What an enjoyable and informative, hands-on experience for the group of American students! The group visited the Elephants World in Kanchanaburi province on 13 March. There were 10 resident elephants and the students met them all. They fed them fruit by hand, cut banana tree leaves for them, gave them mud baths and then rinsed and scrubbed them in River Kwai Yai. The staff was unbelievably friendly and helpful; you could tell they loved their gentle gits. The group left inspired, in awe, wating to come back again.
